AMENDMENT TO MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 94-001 (CONSOLIDATED GUIDELINES ON FARE DISCOUNTS TO STUDENTS, ELDERLY/SENIOR CITIZENS, AND DISABLED PERSONS)



In response to numerous requests from students of all levels of education (elementary, secondary and collegiate) for an uninterrupted availment of the fare discount privilege in pursuit of academic-related activities during school seasons, the Board resolves, as it is hereby resolved, to include in the availment of such privilege Saturdays, Sundays and holidays within school seasons, and accordingly, amends the second sentence of Item II-1 of Memorandum Circular No. 94-001, to read as follows: "Provided that the fare discount may be availed of only during school seasons" and Item III-B thereof, under Column "Day" for both "Elem./H.S." and "College" to read as follows: "Everyday, including holidays".

This amendatory Memorandum Circular shall take effect fifteen (15) days after the filing of three (3) copies hereof with the U.P. Law Center, pursuant to Presidential Memorandum Circular No. 94-001 not inconsistent herewith shall remain valid and in full force.
