DISAPPROVED MOVIES



Effective immediately, the following procedures shall be observed in the event that a movie is disapproved on second review:

1. After the film owner is informed of the disapproval of his movie, he shall inform the Board, in writing, of his intent to either abide by the decision of the Board or to appeal to the MTRCB Appeals Committee of the Office of the President.

While awaiting such notice to the Board, the movie print properly sealed shall remain in the custody of the Board.

2. If the film owner opts to abide with the decision of the Board the film print shall be returned to him. If the movie is a foreign one, the distributor shall return the film to its country of origin or to any other place outside of the Philippines within thirty (30) days from the date of disapproval in accordance with the provisions of Presidential Decree No. 1986.

3. If the film owner decides to appeal to the Appeals Committee, the film print shall continue to be kept in the Board's possession until the Appeals Committee renders its decision.
