ROMANIA ISSUES TWO TYPES OF ENTRY VISAS



The Romanian Ministry of Interior and Administrative Reform's Immigration Office has announced the following types of visas issued by their government;
Short Stay Visa - Allows foreigners the right to stay in Romania for ninety (90) days within six (6) months of the first entry and is cumulative within the same period. The visa cannot be renewed and foreigners who hope to land employment will not be issued the necessary visa. They will also be required to leave Romania upon the expiration of the visa. Foreigners entering Romania for the following purpose are covered by this visa category: tourism, mission, visit, business, transportation, sports, cultural, scientific, and humanitarian.

Long Stay Visa - issued to foreigners for the purpose of carrying out economic, professional, and commercial activities, employment, studies, religious, and . family reunification. This visa allows foreigners the renewal of their right to temporary stay in Romania.
Request for employment visa shall be submitted within 30 days from the date ot issuance of the working license. The following documents are required for the issuance ot an employment visa:

Working license issued by the Romanian Immigration Office.
Proof of means of support at the level of minimum salary assured in payment for all period inscribed in the visa;

Certification of no criminal record or other document of the same legal value issued by the authorities from the domicile or residence country of the foreigner.

Medical insurance for the period of visa validity.

Proof of means of accommodation.
Entry visas to Romania are issued only by the Romanian diplomatic missions abroad, except some exceptional cases when entry visas may be granted by state border crossing points officials. In the Philippines, the Embassy of Romania is located at 1216 Acacia Road, Dasmarifias Village, Makati City.
