[ POEA MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 43, S. 1995, July 10, 1995 ]
REQUIREMENT FOR REPORT ON CASES OF WORKERS INVOLVED IN INDUSTRIAL ACCIDENTS
A Korean Non-Governmental Organization has informed POEA of a law in South Korea requiring compensation to workers who are victims of industrial accidents resulting in either injury or death.
In order to properly document and monitor said cases, agencies/entities deploying worker-trainees to South Korea are required to inform POEA on worker-trainees who may have suffered injury/death and if they have been duly compensated. Pending case/s filed shall also be reported. This may also include information on other problems encountered by the worker-trainees.
The report shall be submitted to the Assistance and Welfare Division, Welfare Branch, POEA not later than 17 July 1995. Submission of immediate reports on this matter will henceforth be required.
