[ PRC BOARD OF ENVIRONMENTAL PLANNING BOARD RESOLUTION NO. 03, S. 2005, November 16, 2005 ]

AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 2, SERIES OF 2002 ENTITLED “RULES AND REGULATIONS IMPLEMENTING SECTION 20 OF P.D. NO. 1308 GOVERNING THE PRACTICE OF ENVIRONMENTAL PLANNING, PROVIDING FOR REGISTRATION OF FIRMS, PARTNERSHIPS, CORPORATIONS OR ASSOCIATIONS OF ENVIRONMENTAL PLANNERS, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES”



WHEREAS, The Board issued Resolution No. 02, Series of 2002, entitled “Rules and Regulations Implementing Section 20 of P.D. No. 1308 Governing the Practice of Environmental Planning Providing for Registration of Firms, Partnerships, Corporation or Association of Environmental Planners, and for Other Purposes”;

WHEREAS, Section 2.2. Article II, - Period of Registration of Board Resolution No. 2, Series of 2002, provides that “within six (6) months from the effective date of these rules and regulations, firms, partnerships, and corporations of Environmental Planners, shall register with the Board and the Commission in the manner provided for in Article IV herein. They shall not commence the practice of Environmental Planning until a valid Certificate of Registration has been issued in accordance with these rules and regulations. (Underscoring supplied);

WHEREAS, there are still a number of firms, partnerships and corporations who did not avail themselves of such reglementary period; and

WHEREAS, to enable the foregoing juridical persons to apply for registration, the said period;

NOW, THEREFORE, the Board RESOLVES, as it is hereby RESOLVED, to amend Section 2.2 – Period of Registration – Art. II Resolution No. 2, Series of 2002, which shall now read, to wit:

 

“Sec. 2.2. Period of Registration – [Within six (6) months from the effective date of these rules and regulations,] Firms, partnerships, and corporations of Environmental Planners [,] shall register with the Board and the Commission in the manner provided for in Article IV herein. They shall not commence the practice of Environmental Planning until a valid Certificate of Registration have been issued in accordance with these rules and regulations.”

The herein Resolution shall take effect after fifteen (15) days following its full and complete publication in the Official Gazette or any newspaper of general circulation in the Philippines.

Let copy hereof be furnished to the President, Philippine Institute of Environmental Planners (PIEP), Inc. for dissemination to the registered and licensed environmental planners – members and non-members thereof.
