ALLOWING MITSUBISHI ADVENTURE TX AS AIR-CONDITIONED TAXI SERVICE



In line with the Board's modernization program and in relation to M.C. 2009-029 allowing sedans or wagons as substitutes for authorized taxi units, the board hereby authorizes the MITSUBISHI ADVENTURE TX Model as substitute units for air-conditioned taxi service subject to the following conditions:

  1. It must comfortably accommodate a maximum of five passengers including the driver;
  2. The rear portion thereof shall be used exclusively as luggage compartment and cannot be retrofitted to accommodate passengers;
  3. All Mitsubishi Adventure units not conforming to the specifications of the Mitsubishi Adventure TX model and proposed as a substitute unit must be retrofitted to conform therewith and certified as such by the Mitsubishi Motors Corporation or its duly accredited dealers.

The TED shall inspect all Mitsubishi Adventures applied for as air-conditioned taxi substitutes prior to the issuance of CPC's to ensure strict compliance with the provisions of this Memorandum Circular.

This Memorandum Circular supersedes all issuances inconsistent herewith and shall take effect fifteen (15) days following its publication in a newspaper of general circulation and after filing three (3) copies hereof with the UP Law Center pursuant to Presidential Memorandum Circular No. 11 dated 09 October 1992.
