(NAR) VOL. 21 NO.4 OCTOBER - DECEMBER 2010

[ PHILRACOM RESOLUTION NO. 35-10, November 24, 2010 ]

FIXING THE MAXIMUM NUMBER OF RACES FOR A RACING WEEK AT 59 RACES



WHEREAS, Presidential Decree No. 420 provides that the Philippine Racing Commission (Philracom) has the exclusive jurisdiction and control over the conduct of horseracing including the scheduling of races;

WHEREAS, the Philracom recognizes and affirms the policy previously in effect fixing the maximum number of races for a week at 59 races in accordance with the following schedule: 

Tuesday – 8 races
Wednesday – 8 races
Thursday – 8 races
Friday – 9 races
Saturday – 13 races
Sunday – 13 races

WHEREAS, the aforementioned schedule of races is more in accord with the Philracom’s mandate to look after the welfare of the Horseracing and at the same time the Philracom’s personnel;

WHEREAS, the extension of the races beyond the aforesaid schedule will result in the unnecessary extended working hours of the Philracom personnel;

NOW THEREFORE, the Philracom resolves, as it hereby resolved, to fix the maximum number of races for a racing week at 59 races in accordance with the following schedule:

Tuesday – 8 races
Wednesday – 8 races
Thursday – 8 races
Friday – 9 races
Saturday – 13 races
Sunday – 13 races

RESOLVED FURTHER, that this set of guidelines as incorporated in this Resolution be published in the Kopya and the Official Gazette/UP Law Center and be announced in the television for proper guidance of those concerned especially the Racing Clubs.
