LIST OF ADDITIONAL REIMBURSEABLE DRUGS INCLUDING OVER-THE-COUNTER DRUGS, FOUND IN THE PHILIPPINE NATIONAL DRUG FORMULARY



The Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) has approved the following drugs for inclusion in PhilHealth's Positive List. These drugs can be found in the Clinical Practice Guidelines (CPGs) for Hypertension, Urinary Tract Infection and Pneumonia. Claims for Medicare refund for these drugs will be reimbursed only when used in the treatment of the diseases indicated in the CPGs:

24. Co-amoxyclav Pneumonia 625-1g Vial
25. Cefprozil Pneumonia 500mg Tablet
26. Ceftibuten Pneumonia 200mg/400mg Capsule
27. Ceftizoxime Pneumonia 1 g Vial
28. Dirithromycin Pneumonia 500mg Tablet
29. Roxithromycin Pneumonia 150 mg Tablet
30. Sultamicillin Pneumonia 375-750mg Tablet
31. Cefaclor Pneumonia 250-500mg Tablet
32. Cefetamet Pneumonia 500mg Tablet
33. Levofloxacin Pneumonia 250mg/500mg Tablet
34. Lomefloxacin UTI 400mg Tablet
35. Pefloxacin UTI 400mg Tablet

At the same time, the Corporation has approved the compensability of the following over-the-counter or "non-prescription" drugs that are listed in the Philippine National Drug Formulary:
