DEFERMENT OF LICENSE TO OPERATE (LTO) REQUIREMENT ON RENEWAL OF ACCREDITATION OF BIRTHING HOMES/LYING-IN/MATERNITY CLINICS AS STATED IN CIRCULAR NO. 11, S-2013



In view of transition period on Department of Health’s licensing of birthing homes/lying-in clinics, PhilHealth shall not require License to Operate (LTO) on currently accredited maternity clinics that will renew their accreditation in 2014.

Facilities that are applying for initial accreditation in 2013 may still submit the same requirements listed in Circular 54, s. 2012. However, starting January 1, 2015, LTO shall be a requirement for initial and renewal of their accreditation.

All facilities are advised to communicate with Department of Health - Center for Health Development (DOH-CHD) in their regions to facilitate and initiate their application for license.

This circular shall be effective immediately upon publication in the official gazette or any newspaper of general circulation

All other existing issuances inconsistent with this Circular are hereby repealed and/or amended accordingly.
