ADOPTION OF THE NEW/REVISED COURSES UNDER THE 2010 STCW MANILA AMENDMENTS



Please be informed that the curriculum for the following training courses under the 2010 STCW Manila Amendments are already available at the MARINA STCW Office.
NEW COURSE
REVISED COURSE
Seafarers with Designated Security Duties (Section A-VI/6 para. 6) with Security Awareness Training (Section A-VI/6, para 4); and
  
Electronic Chart Display and Information System (Table A-II/1 and IMO Model Course 1.27, 2012 Edition)

All concerned are hereby advised to secure a copy of the revised curriculum at the MARINA STCW Office, accordingly.

Likewise, all training centers with valid accreditation of the Electronic Chart Display and Information System course are hereby advised to revise their syllabus accordingly. The training center is required to submit to the MARINA STCW Office the revised syllabus and documentary evidence issued by the maker of the simulator equipment that said equipment is in compliance with the standards required by the IMO Model Course 1.27, 2012 Edition. Submission shall take place not later than 30 April 2013. Training Centers who fail to submit the revised curriculum on or before the above-cited date shall be dealt with accordingly in accordance with existing rules.

This Advisory shall take effect 15 days after publication to the newspapers of general circulation.
