[ PHILRACOM RESOLUTION NO. 23 – 13, May 22, 2013 ]

AMENDMENT TO PR. 76.VV 3.a2



WHEREAS, under PR. 76.VV 3.a2 the penalty to a winning jockey for being overweight for 1st offense is Four Thousand Pesos (P4,000.00) and Eight Thousand Pesos (P8,000.00) for the second offense;

WHEREAS, under the old rule the penalty was only Two Thousand Pesos (P2,000.00) for first offense and Four Thousand (P4,000.00) for the second offense;

WHEREAS, the penalty of Four Thousand Pesos (P4,000.00) and Eight Thousand Pesos (P8,000.00) are deemed stiff considering that it has no bearing to other horses and the jockey even won.

RESOLVED, that the penalty to a winning jockey for being overweight for the first offense be reverted to Two Thousand Pesos P2,000.00 for 1st offense and Four Thousand (P4,000.00) for the second offense;

RESOLVED FURTHER, that PR. 76. VV.3.a.2 be amended so that the same shall read as follows:

For having more weight during the weigh-in:

1. 500 grams or less
2. 501 grams to 1 kg.
3. 1.01 kgs. to 1.50 kgs.
4. 1.51 kgs. to 2.0 kgs.
5. 2.0 kgs. and more
