CLASSIFICATION AND REGISTRATION OF THREE (3) WHEELER MOTORCYCLE

In accordance with the provisions of Republic Act No. 4136, otherwise known as

“ The Land Transportation and Traffic Code,” as amended and Republic Act No. 8794, otherwise known as “Motor Vehicle User’s Charge (MVUC) which provides that any new model of motor vehicle in the market must be properly classified prior to its registration with the Land Transportation Office, Three (3) Wheeler Motorcycle as shown below shall be classified as MOTORCYCLE and the registration fees of which shall be the rates prescribed for motorcycle.

Administrative Order No. 3 dated 24 September 1980, defines motorcycle as motor vehicle having a seat or saddle for the use of the rider and designed to travel on not more than three wheels in contact with the ground, except the four wheels may be in contact with the ground when two of the wheels are a functional part of a sidecar.

All circulars, rules or regulations inconsistent with the provision hereof are hereby repealed and modified accordingly.
