(NAR) VOL. 5 NO. 3 / JULY - SEPTEMBER 1994

[ NTC MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 14-8-94, August 26, 1994 ]

REVISED SCHEDULE OF ADMINISTRATIVE FEES AND CHARGES OF THE NATIONAL TELECOMMUNICATION COMMISSION (NTC)



In compliance with Presidential Memorandum Circular No. 121, dated 02 October 1990, as implemented by Department Order No. 66-90 of the Department of Finance dated 29 November 1990, the following schedule of revised fees and charges of the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) is hereby approved for implementation.

SECTION 1. General Provisions -

1. Power as appearing in this circular shall mean:

a) For AM broadcast station in the broadcasting service the authorized power shall be the output of the transmitter.

High Powered - 10 kw and above
Medium Powered - above 1 kw but below 10 kw
Low Powered - 1 kw and below

b) For FM and TV broadcasting service the authorized power shall be the effective radiated power of the station.

High Powered - 90 kw and above but not more than 225 kw
Medium Powered - Above 10 kw but not more than 89 kw
Low Powered - 10 kw and below

c) For Fixed, Land Mobile, Maritime, Aeronautical, and Space Services the authorized power shall be the effective radiated power of the station (except microwave stations)

High Powered - Above 100 watts
Medium Powered - Above 25 watts up to 100 watts
Low Powered - 25 watts and below

2. Effective Radiated Power - the product of the power supplied to the antenna and its gain relative to a halfwave dipole, less antenna transmission loss.

3. Broadcasting stations shall refer to AM, FM TV, Translator. Broadcasting Stations. For the fees and charges of Auxilliary Broadcast Transmission Services such as studio to transmitter link (STL), Remote Pick-up BC, Communication, Coordination and Control Stations used in connection with the operation of broadcasting station, the fees and charges of the Fixed and Land Mobile Services shall apply; while for broadcast Relay Station the fees and charges of regular BC station shall apply.

4. For the Citizen Band radio service, the fees and charges, of the Fixed and Land Mobile Services shall apply.

5. All radio stations on full duplex narrow band mode other than repeater station shall be charged license fee twice as much as the simplex mode station.

6. For any change in the particulars of the radio station which shall cause modification to its Radio Station License, the construction permit fee corresponding to its services shall be charged.

7. For multichannel stations, the maximum equipment channel capacity shall be the basis for the computation of fees.

SECTION. - Revised Schedule of Fees and Charges by Services - (Please see NAR Vol. 5 No. 3, July-September 1994, pp. 466-468)

SECTION 4. Repealing Clause -

a. All other fees and charges as provided in existing circulars, orders and rules and regulations not herein revised shall continue to be observed and implemented.

b. Any and all memoranda, circulars and other administrative issuances in conflict with this Circular are deemed amended, superseded, and/or repealed accordingly.

SECTION 5. Effectivtty - The revised rates as herein prescribed shall be published once a week for two (2) consecutive weeks in two newspapers of general circulation in the Philippines and shall take effect fifteen (15) days after the last publication.
