AMENDMENT TO RULE II (ON RETIREMENT BENEFITS) OF BOOK VII OF THE RULES IMPLEMENTING THE LABOR CODE, AS AMENDED BY REPUBLIC ACT 7641
By virtue of the power vested in me by Article 5 of the Labor Code of the Philippines, Section 2, 2.2 of the Rules Implementing Republic Act 7641, otherwise known as the Retirement Pay Law, is hereby amended by deleting said Section of the Rules.
Accordingly, domestic helpers and persons in the personal service of another are covered by RA 7641 and are therefore entitled to the benefits provided thereunder.
This amendment shall take effect immediately.
