CODE OF BEHAVIOR FOR PRA PARTICIPANTS & APPLICANTS

P R E A M B L E

The Philippine Retirement Authority seeks to promote the Philippines as a leading and significant destination for the world's retirees, seniors, and elderly. In the process, PRA seeks a certain decorum among its members to promote harmony and cooperation.

R U L E S

  1. A retiree-participant or applicant shall uphold the Constitution, obey the laws of the land, and promote respect for law and legal processes.
  2. A retiree-participant or applicant shall not engage in unlawful, dishonest, immoral or deceitful conduct.
  3. A retiree-participant or applicant shall be bound by the rules and regulations of the Authority with respect of matters affecting his/her SRRV membership or application for SRRV.
  4. A retiree-participant or applicant shall be answerable for knowingly making a false statement or suppressing a material fact, in connection with his application for admission to the Philippine Retirement Program.
  5. A retiree-participant or applicant shall not support the application for admission to the PRA program of any person known by him to be unqualified with respect to character, police/criminal records, or other relevant attributes.
  6. A retiree-participant or applicant shall not, in all his dealings with PRA and any of its Satellite Offices, use language which is abusive, offensive, degrading, discriminatory, or otherwise improper.
  7. A retiree-participant or applicant shall abstain from scandalous, offensive, or menacing language against any official or staff of the Philippine Retirement Authority;
  8. A retiree-participant or applicant should avoid impropriety and the appearance of impropriety in all his /her dealings or transactions with the Authority and any of its Satellite Offices, and observe courtesy, order and proper decorum at all times.
  9. A retiree-participant or applicant, if warranted, shall submit grievances against any PRA officer or subordinate to the Head of the Agency or any of his authorized representatives.
  10. A retiree-participant or applicant will participate actively in PRA’s programs for retirees i.e. arts, sports, other special recreational activities and civic and charitable activities.
  11. A retiree-participant or applicant will engage in business, employment, or practice of profession provided it is not prohibited by the Constitution, applicable laws, and rules and regulations.
COVERAGE

All retiree participants and applicants shall strictly comply with this Code.

EFFECTIVITY

This Code shall take effect immediately.
