ADDENDUM TO MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 15-14 SERIES OF 2014 AND PCAR PART 8; 8.10.1.1

Pursuant to the power vested in me under Republic Act 9497, otherwise known as the Civil Aviation Authority Act of 2008, and in accordance with the Philippine Civil Aviation Regulations Part 1 and Regulations Amendment/ Revision Procedure with Board Resolution No: 2012-054 dated 28th September 2012, the following provisions of PCAR Part 8 are hereby amended:

PCAR PART 8

8.10.1.1 LIMITATION OF PRIVILEGES OF PILOTS WHO HAVE ATTAINED THEIR 60TH BIRTHDAY AND CURTAILMENT OF PRIVILEGES OF PILOTS WHO HAVE ATTAINED THEIR 65TH AND 67TH BIRTHDAY

(c) For aircraft engaged in international commercial air transport operations requiring more than one pilot as flight crew members, the AOC may use one pilot up to 65 provided that the other pilot is less than age 60.

(d) Check airmen who have reached their 65th birthday or who do not hold an appropriate medical certificate may continue their check airman functions, but may not serve as or occupy the position of a required pilot flight crew member on an airplane engaged in commercial air transport operations.

EFFECTIVITY CLAUSE:

This Memorandum Circular shall take effect (15) fifteen days after compliance with the requisite single newspaper publication and a copy filed with the U.P. Law Center - Office of the National Administrative Register.
