RENEWAL AND MISCELLANEOUS TRANSACTIONS OF SUZUKI MULTICABS AND TRUCKS EXEMPTED FROM EO 156

In accordance with Republic Act No. 4136, otherwise known as “The Land Transportation and Traffic Code,” as amended, and Republic Act No. 8794, otherwise known as “Motor Vehicle User’s Charge,” and in view of the latest directive from the Bureau of Customs (BOC), disseminated through LTO Memorandum Circular dated 07 July 2014 re” Goods or Articles Imported into the Country Without Payment of Proper Duties and Taxes Except for Tax Exempt are Considered SMUGGLED, and the Defense of Buyer in Good Faith Finds No Basis in Law, no Suzuki multicabs and trucks exempted from EO 156 shall be accepted for renewal registration unless the MVUC has been collected during its initial registration and complied with the mandatory supporting documents.

In all cases when the initial registration is effected as miscellaneous transaction, the registered owner shall be notified to explain why the registration shall not be cancelled and to submit the supporting documentary requirements for initial registration. The documents shall be evaluated by the District Office, reviewed by the Regional Office, for the approval of the Central Office.

All orders/circulars/memoranda inconsistent herewith are hereby superseded.

Any official and/or employee violating this memorandum shall be dealt with accordingly,
