MANDATORY PRE-EMPLOYMENT ORIENTATION SEMINAR FOR ALL OFWS

Further to POEA Advisory No. 26, Series of 2018 and in view of the ongoing integration of the data of OFWs with prior deployment record in POEA in the new e-Submit Contracts Processing System for purpose of PEOS Exemption, all  landbased overseas worker-applicants,  including those who have previously worked abroad, are required to take and complete the mandated Pre-Employment Orientation Seminar (PEOS) Online prior to submission of application to a licensed recruitment agency. As such, it is hereby reiterated that all licensed recruitment agencies are obliged to ensure that all their applicants have taken the mandatory PEOS Online before accepting any application, and that the applicants by themselves have taken it. They should check the name of an applicant from the database of users who have completed the PEOS Online<SUP STYLE="COLOR: RGB(255, 0, 0);">[1]</SUP>.
This temporary measure shall continue to take effect until further notice. Failure to comply with this Advisory may compel this Office to initiate
appropriate complaint for violation of Section 143 (o) and/or (kk) of Rule I, Part VI
of the Revised POEA Rules and Regulations Governing the Recruitment and Employment of Landbased Overseas Filipino Workers of 2016 including the Liability clause.
