[ REPUBLIC ACT NO. 951, June 20, 1953 ]

AN ACT TO AMEND REPUBLIC ACT NUMBERED ONE HUNDRED AND TWENTY-FOUR



Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

SECTION 1. Sections one and two of Republic Act Numbered One hundred and twenty-four are amended to read as follows:
"SECTION 1. Effective July first, nineteen hundred and forty-seven, it shall be the duty of the principal, director and/or president of a private school, college or university, with a total enrollment of at least three hundred and one thousand to provide a part or full time physician and dentist, respectively, to give medical and dental service to the pupils and  students enrolled  therein, who shall render reports at the end of every quarter, to wit: end of September, December, March and June of each school year, of their school health activities to the Director of Health. Said physician and dentist shall be placed under the direct supervision of the Bureau of Health.

"SEC. 2. It shall be the duty of the Bureau of Health to issue rules and regulations relative to the medical and dental service which private schools, colleges and universities in the Philippines shall provide."
SEC. 2. The title of the same Act is amended to read as follows:
"An Act to require certain private schools, colleges and universities in the Philippines to provide medical and dental service for pupils and students."
SEC. 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
