[ REPUBLIC ACT NO. 1997, June 22, 1957 ]

AN ACT CONVERTING THE CAMILING RURAL HIGH SCHOOL INTO A NATIONAL AGRICULTURAL SCHOOL, TO BE KNOWN AS THE TARLAC NATIONAL AGRICULTURAL SCHOOL, AND APPROPRIATING THE NECESSARY FUNDS THEREFOR.



Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

SECTION 1. The Camiling Rural High School in the Municipality of Camiling, Province of Tarlac, is hereby converted into a national agricultural school of the Central Luzon Agricultural College type, to be known as the Tarlac National Agricultural School. The Secretary of Education is hereby empowered to reorganize the said school accordingly.

Upon the organization of the Tarlac National Agricultural School, the assets, liabilities, personnel, equipment and records of the Camiling Rural High School shall stand transferred to the Tarlac National Agricultural School.

SEC. 2. The sum of two hundred thousand pesos is hereby appropriated, out of any funds in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated, for the operation and maintenance of the said school for the fiscal year nineteen hundred fifty-seven and nineteen hundred fifty-eight. Thereafter, the necessary sum for the operation of the said school shall be included in the annual General Appropriation Act.

SEC 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
