[ REPUBLIC ACT NO. 684, May 09, 1952 ]

AN ACT TO AMEND SUBSECTION (p) OF SECTION FIFTEEN OF REPUBLIC ACT NUMBERED THREE HUNDRED AND TWENTY-SEVEN, OTHERWISE KNOWN AS THE CHARTER OF THE CITY OF DUMAGUETE, BY EMPOWERING SAID CITY TO TAX, FIX THE LICENSE FOR, REGULATE THE BUSINESS AND FIX THE LOCATION OF, THE STORAGE AND SALE OF COPRA THEREIN.



Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

SECTION 1. Subsection (p) of section fifteen of Republic Act Numbered Three hundred and twenty-seven is amended to read as follows:
" (p) To tax, fix the license fee for, regulate the business and fix the location of, match factories, blacksmith shops, foundries, steam boilers, lumberyards, shipyards, the storage and sale of gunpowder, tar, pitch, resin, coal, oil, gasoline, benzine, turpentine, copra, hemp, cotton, nitroglycerine, petroleum, or any of the products thereof, and of all other highly combustible or explosive materials, and other establishments likely to endanger the public safety or give rise to conflagrations or explosions, and, subject to the rules and regulations issued by the Director of Health in accordance with law, tanneries, renderies, tallow chandleries, embalmers, and funeral parlors, bone factories, and soap factories."
SEC. 2. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
