[ REPUBLIC ACT NO. 7806, September 01, 1994 ]

AN ACT DECLARING MARCH 23 OF EVERY YEAR AS A SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN THE PROVINCE OF AKLAN TO COMMEMORATE THE DEATH ANNIVERSARY OF THE XIX MARTYRS OF AKLAN



Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

Section 1. In order to commemorate the death anniversary of the 19 martyrs of Aklan, the pioneers of the propaganda campaign of the Katipunan and who were instrumental in the suppression of the atrocities committed towards the patriots of Aklan, the 23rd day of March of every year is hereby declared as a special public holiday in the Province of Aklan.

SEC. 2. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.

Lapsed into law on September 1, 1994 without the President's signature, pursuant to Sec. 27(1), Article VI of the Constitution.
