[ REPUBLIC ACT NO. 6015, August 04, 1969 ]

AN ACT APPROPRIATING FUNDS FOR THE HOLDING IN MANILA IN 1970 OF THE NINTH REGIONAL CONFERENCE ON WATER RESOURCES DEVELOPMENT UNDER THE AUSPICES OF THE ECONOMIC COMMISSION FOR ASIA AND THE FAR EAST AND THE UNITED NATIONS TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE ADMINISTRATION.





Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

SECTION 1. Appropriation of Funds.— The sum of two hundred thousand pesos, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is hereby appropriated, out of any funds in the Treasury of the Philippines not otherwise appropriated to defray the necessary expenses to be incurred by the Philippine Government, incident to the holding in Manila in 1970 of the Ninth Regional Conference on Water Resources Development under the joint auspices of the Economic Commission for Asia and the Far East and the United Nations Technical Assistance Administration.

SEC. 2. Office Authorized to Administer the Funds.— The Secretary of Commerce and Industry, as Chairman of the Philippine Committee on ECAFE Matters created by Administrative Order No. 25, dated September 27, 1962 of the President of the Philippines, is hereby authorized to administer the disbursement of the funds to cover authorized expenses of the Conference in collaboration with the Interim Committee on Water Resources Development created under Executive Order No. 24 dated May 1, 1966.

SEC. 3. Submission of Reports.— Within thirty days from the closing of the conference mentioned under Section one hereof, the Chairman, Philippine National Committee on ECAFE Matters, shall submit separately a report covering the conference to the President of the Philippines and to the respective presiding officers of both Houses of the Congress of the Philippines.

SEC. 4. Effectivity.— This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
