[ REPUBLIC ACT NO. 3156, June 17, 1961 ]

AN ACT CONVERTING THE SAN ANTONIO PUERI-CULTURE CENTER IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF SAN ANTONIO, PROVINCE OF SAMAR, INTO AN EMERGENCY HOSPITAL TO BE KNOWN AS THE SAN ANTONIO EMERGENCY HOSPITAL, AND AUTHORIZING THE APPROPRIATION OF FUNDS THEREFOR.





Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

SECTION 1. The San Antonio Puericulture Center situated in the Municipality of San Antonio, Province of Samar, is hereby converted in an emergency hospital, to be known as the San Antonio Emergency Hospital, under the management and supervision of a chief who shall be appointed by the Secretary of Health upon the recommendation of the Director of the Bureau of Medical Services.

SEC. 2. The Secretary of Health shall issue such rules and regulations as may be necessary to carry out the purpose of this Act.

SEC. 3. The sum of seventy-five thousand pesos is hereby authorized to be appropriated, out of any funds in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated, for the establishment, operation and maintenance of said hospital during the fiscal year nineteen hundred sixty-two. Thereafter, the same, or so much thereof as may be necessary to carry into effect the purpose of this Act shall be included in the annual General Appropriation Acts.

SEC. 4. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
