[ REPUBLIC ACT NO. 3026, May 31, 1961 ]

AN ACT AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF ADDITIONAL COMPENSATION TO HIGHWAY DIVISION ENGINEERS, HIGHWAY DISTRICT ENGINEERS AND CITY ENGINEERS AS EX-OFFICIO DIVISION ENGINEERS, DISTRICT ENGINEERS AND CITY ENGINEERS OF THE BUREAU OF PUBLIC WORKS, RESPECTIVELY.





Be it enacted, by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

SECTION 1. Additional compensation for highway division engineers, highway district engineers and city engineers as ex-officio division engineers, district engineers and city engineers of the Bureau of Public Works, respectively, is hereby authorized to be paid from the Engineering fund, K-26, of the district or city or from any fund of the province, subprovince or city concerned, in the following amounts, subject, however, to the availability of such funds:

(a) Fifty pesos per month for highway division engineers ;
(b) One hundred pesos per month for highway district engineers or city engineers in first-class, second-class and third-class provinces or cities;
(c) Eighty pesos per month for highway district engineers or city engineers in fourth-class and fifth-class provinces or subprovinces or cities; and
(d) Sixty pesos per month for highway district engineers or city engineers in sixth-class and seventh-class provinces or subprovinces or cities.


The additional compensation of the highway division engineer shall be apportioned proportionately among the provinces, subprovinces and cities composing the Division.

SEC. 2. All laws or parts thereof inconsistent herewith are repealed or modified accordingly.

SEC. 3. This Act shall take effect upon the date of effectivity of Republic Act Numbered Eighteen hundred thirty-six, which has authorized the dual functions.
