[ REPUBLIC ACT NO. 7681, February 23, 1994 ]

AN ACT DECLARING MAY EIGHT OF EVERY YEAR A SPECIAL NONWORKING PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF TOLOSA, PROVINCE OF LEYTE, TO BE KNOWN AS THE "TOLOSA DAY"



Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

SECTION 1. The eighth day of May of every year, being the annual town fiesta of Tolosa, Leyte, honoring its most holy patron saint, St. Michael the Archangel, is hereby declared a special nonworking public holiday in the Municipality of Tolosa, Province of Leyte, to be known as the "Tolosa Day."

SEC. 2. On May eight of every year, the municipal officials of Tolosa, Leyte, shall lead appropriate and meaningful celebrations, activities and programs participated in by regional heads of departments and other government offices and their employees holding office in Tolosa, Leyte; civic, sports, religious and nongovernmental organizations, and private companies doing business in Tolosa, Leyte.

SEC. 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
