AN ACT DECLARING AUGUST FIFTEEN OF EVERY YEAR A SPECIAL NONWORKING PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF TANAUAN, PROVINCE OF LEYTE, TO BE KNOWN AS THE "TANAUAN DAY"



Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

SECTION 1. The fifteenth day of August of every year, being the annual town fiesta of Tanauan, Leyte, honoring its most holy patron saint, Our Lady of the Assumption, is hereby declared a special nonworking public holiday in the Municipality of Tanauan, Province of Leyte, to be known as the "Tanauan

SEC. 2. On August fifteen of every year, the municipal officials of Tanauan, Leyte shall lead appropriate and meaningful celebrations, activities and programs participated in by regional heads of departments and other government offices and their employees holding office in Tanauan, Leyte; civic, sports and other religious and nongovernmental organizations, and private companies doing business in Tanauan, Leyte.

SEC. 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
