[ REPUBLIC ACT NO. 3977, June 18, 1964 ]

AN ACT CONVERTING BADIAN PROVINCIAL HIGH SCHOOL INTO A NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL TO BE KNOWN AS BADIAN NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL, AND AUTHORIZING THE APPROPRIA­TION OF THE NECESSARY FUNDS THEREFOR.





Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

SECTION 1. Badian Provincial High School is hereby converted into a national high, school, to be known as Badian National High School. Comprehensive curriculum which includes both academic and vocational courses shall be offered implementing the 2-2 plan. The Secretary of Education is hereby empowered to reorganize the said school accordingly.

Upon organization of Badian National High School, the assets, liabilities, personnel, equipment and records of Badian Provincial High School shall stand transferred to Badian National High School.

SEC.  2. The sum of two hundred thousand pesos is hereby authorized to be appropriated out of any funds in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated, for the operation and maintenance of the said school for the fiscal year nineteen hundred sixty-four and nineteen hundred  sixty-five. Thereafter, the necessary sum for the operation and  maintenance of the said school shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.

SEC. 3. Each student, regardless of grade, shall pay only thirty-two pesos as tuition fee for each school year.

SEC. 4. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
