[ REPUBLIC ACT NO. 3657, June 22, 1963 ]

AN ACT CONVERTING THE ANTIQUE HIGH SCHOOL IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF SAN JOSE, PROVINCE OF ANTIQUE, INTO A NATIONAL SCHOOL TO BE KNOWN AS THE ANTIQUE NATIONAL SCHOOL, AND AUTHORIZING THE APPROPRIATION OF FUNDS THEREFOR.





Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

SECTION 1. The Antique High School in the Municipality of San Jose, Province of Antique, is hereby converted into a national school to be known as the Antique National School.  General as well as vocational courses shall be offered in said school.

SEC. 2. The Secretary of Education is hereby empowered to reorganize said school accordingly.

SEC. 3. The sum of five hundred thousand pesos, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is hereby authorized to be appropriated, out of any funds in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated, to carry out the purposes of this Act during the fiscal year nineteen hundred sixty-four.  Thereafter, such sums as may be needed for its operation and maintenance shall be included in the annual General Appropriation Acts.

SEC. 4. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
