[ REPUBLIC ACT NO. 4798, June 18, 1966 ]

AN ACT PROVIDING ONE ADDITIONAL JUDGE FOR THE THIRD JUDICIAL DISTRICT TO PRESIDE OVER THE COURT OF FIRST INSTANCE OF PANGAS1NAN, WITH PERMANENT STATION IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF ALAMINOS, PROVINCE OF PANGASINAN, AMENDING FOR THE PURPOSE SECTIONS FIFTY AND FIFTY-TWO OF THE JUDICIARY ACT OF 1948.



Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

SECTION 1. The third paragraph of Section fifty of Republic Act Numbered Two hundred ninety-six, otherwise mown as the Judiciary Act of 1948, as amended, is further amended to read as follows:

"Thirteen judges shall be commissioned for the Third Judicial  District.  Eleven  judges  shall  preside over  the court of First Instance of Pangasinan and shall be known judges of the first, second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh, eighth, ninth, tenth, and eleventh branches thereof, respectively. Two fudges shall preside over the Court of First Instance of Zambales, and shall be known as judges the first and second branches thereof, respectively."

SEC. 2. The third subparagraph of the second paragraph Section fifty-two of the same Act, as amended, is further tended to read as follows:

"For the Third Judicial  District, two judges shall be stationed  in the  Municipality of Lingayen,  Province of Pangasinan; three judges shall be stationed in the City of Dagupan; two judges, in the Municipality of Urdaneta, Province of Pangasinan; one judge, in the Municipality of Tayug, same province; two judges, in the Municipality  Alaminos, and another in the City of San Carlos, same, province; the judge of the first branch of the Court of First Instance of Zambales shall be stationed in the Munici­pality of Olongapo, Province of Zambales, and the judge of the second branch,  in the  Municipality of Iba, same province."

SEC. 3. There is hereby appropriated out of any funds in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated, the sum of sixty thousand pesos or so much thereof as may be neces­sary to carry out the purpose of this Act.

SEC. 4. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
