[ REPUBLIC ACT NO. 3637, June 22, 1963 ]

AN ACT CONVERTING THE INITAO HIGH SCHOOL IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF INITAO, PROVINCE OF MISAMIS ORIENTAL, INTO A NATIONAL SCHOOL OF FISHERIES, TO BE KNOWN AS THE MISAMIS ORIENTAL SCHOOL OF FISHERIES, AND AUTHORIZING THE APPROPRIATION OF FUNDS THEREFOR.





Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

SECTION 1. The Initao High School in the Municipality of Initao, Province of Misamis Oriental, is hereby converted into a  national school of fisheries to be known as the Misamis Oriental School of Fisheries.

SEC. 2. The Misamis Oriental School of Fisheries shall offer general secondary, vocational and fishery courses for the secondary grades and shall offer collegiate subjects and or courses on fishery.

SEC. 3. The Secretary of Education is hereby empowered reorganize said school accordingly.

SEC. 4. The sum of two hundred thousand pesos is hereby authorized to be appropriated, out of any funds in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated, for the conversion, operation and maintenance of said school during the fiscal year nineteen  hundred sixty-four.  Thereafter such sums as may be necessary for its operation and maintenance shall be included in the annual General Appropriation Acts.

SEC. 5. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
