[ REPUBLIC ACT NO. 820, August 14, 1952 ]

AN ACT APPROPRIATING ADDITIONAL SUM OF THIRTY-THREE MILLION SEVEN HUNDRED SEVENTY-TWO THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED TEN PESOS FOR "COUNTERPART FUND" TO CARRY OUT THE PURPOSES OF REPUBLIC ACT NUMBERED SIX HUNDRED AND FOUR.



Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

SECTION 1. The following sums are appropriated out of any funds in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated for the following purposes:

A. For operational requirements of the Philippine Council for United States Aid for the fiscal year 1953, as follows:

SEC. 2. A committee composed of three Senators and three Representatives to be appointed by the presiding officers of each House, respectively, is hereby constituted to look into the allotments and expenditures of the "Counterpart Fund" and the aid which the Philippines has already received and will receive from the United States Mutual Security Agency. The said Committee is authorized to function during the recess of the Congress and shall submit its reports of findings and recommendations to the Congress.

SEC. 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
