[ REPUBLIC ACT NO. 8886, August 22, 2000 ]

AN ACT ESTABLISHING A NATIONAL COMPREHENSIVE HIGH SCHOOL IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF DUMANGAS, PROVINCE OF ILOILO TO BE KNOWN AS THE DUMANGAS NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR



Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

SECTION 1. There shall be established under the supervision of the Department of Education, Culture and Sports a comprehensive national high school in the Municipality of Dumangas, Province of Iloilo to be known as the Dumangas National High School.

SEC. 2. The site of said comprehensive national high school shall be located within the compound of the Dumangas Polytechnic College. It is fully understood that said comprehensive national high school shall be separate and independent from the Dumangas Polytechnic College.

SEC. 3. The Secretary of the Department of Education, Culture and Sports shall issue the necessary rules and regulations for the effective implementation of this Act.

SEC. 4. The amount necessary to carry out the provisions of this Act shall be included in the General Appropriations Act of the year following its enactment into law and thereafter.

SEC. 5. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.

This Act which originated in the House of Representatives was finally passed by the House of Representatives and the Senate on September 15, 1999 and June 5, 2000,  respectively.
