[ REPUBLIC ACT NO. 9695, August 04, 2009 ]

AN ACT ESTABLISHING THE ZAMBOANGA SIGUBAY FIRST DISTRICT ENGINEERING OFFICE IN THE PROVINCE OF ZAMBOANGA SIBUGAY AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR



Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representative of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

SECTION 1. There shall be established, under the supervision of the Department of Public Works and Highways, a  district engineering office in the Province of Zamboanga Sibugay to be located in the Municipality of Diplahan to be known as Zamboanga Sibugay First District Engineering Office.

SEC. 2. The said district engineering office shall comprise the municipalities of Buug, Diplahan, Malangas, Imelda, Alicia, Mabuhay, Olutanga, Talusan and Payao.

SEC. 3. The Secretary of the Department of Public Works and Highways shall transfer the records, property, equipment, supplies and materials pertaining to the jurisdiction and administration of the district engineering office in accordance with the existing laws and regulations.

SEC. 4. The Secretary of Public Works and Highways shall include in the Department's program the operationalization of the Zamboanga Sibugay First District Engineering Office, the funding of which shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.

SEC. 5. This Act shall take effect fifteen (15) days after its publication in a newspaper of general circulation.

This Act which originated in the House of Representatives was finally passed by the House of Representatives and the Senate on October 7, 2008 and May 26, 2009, respectively.
