[ REPUBLIC ACT NO. 8784, April 27, 2000 ]

AN ACT SEPARATING THE SAN ENRIQUE POLYTECHNIC COLLEGE DOMINADOR ABANG MEMORIAL EXTENSION HIGH SCHOOL IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF SAN ENRIQUE, PROVINCE OF ILOILO FROM THE SAN ENRIQUE POLYTECHNIC COLLEGE IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF SAN ENRIQUE, ALSO OF THE SAME PROVINCE, AND CONVERTING IT INTO AN INDEPENDENT NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL TO BE KNOWN AS THE DOMINADOR ABANG MEMORIAL NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL, AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR



Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

SECTION 1. The San Enrique Polytechnic College Dominador Abang Memorial Extension High School in the Municipality of San Enrique, Province of Iloilo, is hereby separated from the San Enrique Polytechnic College in the Municipality of San Enrique, also of the same province and converting it into a separate and independent national high school to be known as the Dominador Abang Memorial National High School.

SEC. 2. All the assets, whether fixed or movable, records and personnel, obligations and appropriations of the San Enrique Polytechnic College Dominador Abang Memorial Extension High School are hereby transferred to the Dominador Abang Memorial National High School: Provided, That the positions, rights and security of tenure of the personnel therein employed under existing laws prior to separation from the mother school are not impaired.

SEC. 3. The amount necessary for the initial implementation of this Act shall be charged against the current year's appropriations of the San Enrique Polytechnic College Dominador Abang Memorial Extension High School. Thereafter, such sums as may be necessary for the operation and maintenance of the Dominador Abang Memorial National High School shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.

SEC. 4. Republic Act No. 7874 is hereby repealed.

SEC. 5. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.

This Act which originated in the House of Representatives was finally passed by the House of Representatives and the Senate on March 22, 1999 and January 26, 2000,  respectively.
