[ REPUBLIC ACT NO. 9223, August 08, 2003 ]

AN ACT CONSTITUTING THE SECOND CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT OFFICE IN THE PROVINCE OF SULU INTO A SEPARATE DISTRICT ENGINEERING OFFICE AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR



Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

SECTION 1. There shall be established under the supervision of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) a separate district engineering office in the Second Congressional District, Province of Sulu to be located in the Municipality of Luuk to be known as Sulu Second District Engineering Office.

SEC. 2. The Secretary of the DPWH shall include in its program the funding requirements for the operationalization of the Sulu Second Engineering District in the year following its enactment into law and thereafter.

SEC. 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
