[ REPUBLIC ACT NO. 7230, March 19, 1992 ]

AN ACT AUTHORIZING THE RANK OF LIEUTENANT GENERAL/VICE ADMIRAL TO THE POSITIONS OF COMMANDERS OF THE MAJOR SERVICES, THE DEPUTY CHIEF OF STAFF AND THE SOUTHERN COMMAND AND THE RANK OF MAJOR GENERAL/REAR ADMIRAL TO THE POSITIONS OF COMMANDERS OF THE NORTHERN LUZON COMMAND, THE SOUTHERN LUZON COMMAND, THE VISAYAS COMMAND, AND THE WESTERN COMMAND, AND THE SUPERINTENDENT OF THE PHILIPPINE MILITARY ACADEMY.



Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

SECTION 1. The rank of lieutenant general/vice admiral is authorized to the positions of Commanders of the Major Services, the Deputy Chief of Staff and the Southern Command and the rank of major general/rear admiral to the positions of Commanders of the Northern Luzon Command, the Southern Luzon Command, the Visayas Command, and the Western Command, and the Superintendent of the Philippine Military Academy of the Armed Forces of the Philippines.

SEC. 2. Presidential Decree No. 360, as amended by Presidential Decree No. 1769, and all other laws, proclamations, decrees, letters of instruction, executive orders, rules and regulations and other issuances, or parts thereof, which are inconsistent with the provisions of this Act are hereby repealed or modified accordingly.

SEC. 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.

This Act which is a consolidation of House Bill No. 21525 and Senate Bill No. 911 was finally passed by the House of Representatives and the Senate on February 7, 1992.
