[ REPUBLIC ACT NO. 7236, March 19, 1992 ]

AN ACT INCREASING THE BED CAPACITY OF THE MASBATE PROVINCIAL HOSPITAL IN THE CAPITAL TOWN OF MASBATE, PROVINCE OF MASBATE, FROM ONE HUNDRED (100) TO ONE HUNDRED TWENTY-FIVE (125) BEDS, CONSTRUCTING AN ANNEX BUILDING TO HOUSE THE ADDITIONAL BED CAPACITY AND PROVIDING ISOLATION WARDS FOR PATIENTS AFFLICTED WITH HIGHLY CONTAGIOUS, COMMUNICABLE AND TRANSFERABLE DISEASES, APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES



Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

SECTION 1. There is hereby authorized an increase in the bed capacity of the Masbate Provincial Hospital in the capital town of Masbate, Province of Masbate, from one hundred (100) to one hundred twenty-five (125) beds.  In line with this purpose, there is hereby authorized the construction of an annex building to house the additional bed capacity and provide isolation wards for patients afflicted with highly contagious, communicable and transferable diseases, under the supervision of the Bureau of Medical Services of the Department of Health.

SEC. 2. The amount necessary to carry out the provisions of this Act shall be included in the General Appropriations Act of the year following its enactment into law and thereafter.

SEC. 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.

This Act which originated in the House of Representatives was finally passed by the House of Representatives and the Senate on January 20, 1992 and December 11, 1991, respectively.
