[ REPUBLIC ACT NO. 8029, June 05, 1995 ]

AN ACT RENAMING THE TAYTAY BRIDGE LINKING TAGBILARAN CITY WITH PANGLAO ISLAND IN THE PROVINCE OF BOHOL TO AMBASSADOR JACINTO CASTEL BORJA BRIDGE, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES



Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

SECTION 1. Ambassador Jacinto Castel Borja was the first and only Boholano to serve as Philippine envoy to the United Nations. He also served as a provincial governor of Bohol from 1952 to 1955.

SEC. 2. To perpetuate his memory, the Taytay Bridge which links Tagbilaran City with Panglao Island in the Province of Bohol is hereby renamed Ambassador Jacinto Castel Borja Bridge.

SEC. 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.

Lapsed into law on June 5, 1995 without the President's signature, pursuant to Sec. 27(1), Article VI of the Constitution.
