[ REPUBLIC ACT NO. 9070, April 08, 2001 ]

AN ACT DECLARING THE EIGHTEENTH OF DECEMBER OF EVERY YEAR AS A SPECIAL WORKING PUBLIC HOLIDAY THROUGHOUT THE COUNTRY TO BE KNOWN AS THE GRACIANO LOPEZ-JAENA DAY



Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

SECTION 1. December 18 of every year is hereby declared as a special working public holiday throughout the country to be known as the Graciano Lopez-Jaena Day.

SEC. 2. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.

This Act which originated in the House of Representatives was finally passed by the House of Representatives and the Senate on February 6, 2001 and October 2, 2000, respectively.
