[ REPUBLIC ACT NO. 8666, June 25, 1998 ]

AN ACT CONVERTING THE DON BENITO NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF POZORRUBIO, PROVINCE OF PANGASINAN, INTO AN AGRO-INDUSTRIAL HIGH SCHOOL TO BE KNOWN AS THE DON BENITO AGRO-INDUSTRIAL HIGH SCHOOL, AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR



Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

SECTION 1. The Don Benito National High School in the Municipality of Pozorrubio, Province of Pangasinan, is hereby converted, under the supervision of the Department of Education, Culture and Sports, into an agro-industrial high school to be known as the Don Benito Agro-Industrial High School.

SEC. 2. The Secretary of the Department of Education, Culture and Sports shall issue the necessary rules and guidelines to effectively implement the purpose and provisions of this Act.

SEC. 3. The amount necessary for the implementation of this Act shall be charged against the current year's appropriations of the Don Benito National High School.  Thereafter, such sums as may be necessary for the operation and maintenance of the Don Benito Agro-Industrial High School shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.

SEC. 4. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.

This Act which originated in the House of Representatives was finally passed by the House of Representatives and the Senate on May 22, 1997 and November 24, 1997, respectively.
