[ REPUBLIC ACT NO. 8617, April 02, 1998 ]

AN ACT TO SEPARATE AN ANNEX SCHOOL OF THE PALAWAN NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL IN BARANGAY TAGUSAO, MUNICIPALITY OF QUEZON, PROVINCE OF PALAWAN, FROM THE PALAWAN NATIONAL SCHOOL-MAIN AND TO CONVERT THE SAME INTO A NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL TO BE KNOWN AS THE TAGUSAO NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL, AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR



Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

SECTION 1. The existing annex school of the Palawan National School in Barangay Tagusao, Municipality of Quezon, Province of Palawan, is hereby separated from the Palawan National School-Main and the same is hereby converted into a national high school to be known as the Tagusao National High School.

SEC. 2. The amount necessary to carry out the provisions of this Act shall be included in the General Appropriations Act of the year following its enactment into law and thereafter.

SEC. 3. All personnel, records, assets and properties including buildings, sites and improvements thereof, obligations and funds of the annex school of the Palawan National School in Barangay Tagusao are hereby transferred to the Tagusao National High School.

SEC. 4. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.

This Act which originated in the House of Representatives was finally passed by the House of Representatives and the Senate on May 22, 1997 and November 24, 1997, respectively.
