[ REPUBLIC ACT NO. 10359, January 09, 2013 ]

AN ACT DECLARING MARCH 26 OF EVERY YEAR AS A SPECIAL WORKING PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN THE PROVINCE OF CEBU TO COMMEMORATE THE HISTORIC LIBERATION OF CEBU FROM THE JAPANESE OCCUPATION DURING WORLD WAR II



Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

SECTION 1. March 26 of every year is hereby declared as a special working public holiday not only in the City of Talisay, by virtue of Republic Act No. 7280, but also in the entire Province of Cebu to commemorate the historic liberation of Cebu from the Japanese occupation during World War II.

SEC. 2. This Act shall take effect fifteen (15) days after its publication in at least one (1) national newspaper of general circulation.

This Act which originated in the House of Representatives was finally passed by the House of Representatives and the Senate on November 13, 2012 and October 15, 2012, respectively.
