[ REPUBLIC ACT NO. 8928, August 22, 2000 ]

AN ACT ESTABLISHING A NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF TAGUDIN, PROVINCE OF ILOCOS SUR TO BE KNOWN AS THE TAGUDIN NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR



Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

SECTION 1. There shall be established, under the supervision of the Department of Education, Culture and Sports, a national high school in the Municipality of Tagudin to be known as the Tagudin National High School in the Province of Ilocos Sur.

SEC. 2. Upon mutual agreement between the Department of Education, Culture and Sports and the Commission on Higher Education, an area shall be set aside within the present campus of the Ilocos Sur Polytechnic State College in the municipality concerned for the location of the proposed national high school which is previously the location of the phased-out high school due to the enactment of Republic Act No. 7960 and Republic Act No. 8547.

SEC. 3. The amount necessary to carry out the provisions of this Act shall be included in the General Appropriations Act of the year following its enactment into law and thereafter.

SEC. 4. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.

This Act which originated in the House of Representatives was finally passed by the House of Representatives and the Senate on August 17, 1999 and May 22, 2000,  respectively.
