[ REPUBLIC ACT NO. 4868, May 08, 1967 ]

AN ACT CREATING THE MUNICIPALITY OF LUTAYAN, PROVINCE OF COTABATO



Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

SECTION 1. Barrios Lutayan, Bayasong, Tamnag, An-tong, Blingkong, Bulok, Talik, Kolondapok and Mamali, Municipality of Buluan, Province of Cotabato, are separated from said municipality, and constituted into a distinct and independent municipality, to be known as the Municipality of Lutayan, same province. The seat of government of the new municipality shall be the present site of Barrio Tamnag.

The boundaries of the new municipality shall be: Beginning from the corner point of the boundary line of Buluan and Columbio and along the boundary line of Koronadal, going due west following the boundary line of Buluan and Koronadal at a distance of 9,000 meters, more or less; thence north, 39 degrees,. zero minute, west following the boundary line of Buluan and Tantangan at a distance of 4,400 meters, more or less; thence, north, 38 degrees, 30 minutes, east passing the eastern sitio of Tugal and Maindang at a distance of 2,300 meters, more or less; thence due north, passing through the center of Buluan Lake at a distance of 3,500 meters, more or less; thence due east, passing at about one kilometer north of Sumangolong until it intersects the boundary line of Buluan and Columbio at a distance of 6,000 meters, more or less; thence south, 26 degrees zero minute east following the boundary line of Buluan and Columbio to the point of beginning at a distance of 9,400 meters, more or less.

SEC. 2. The first mayor, vice-mayor, and councilors of the new municipality shall be elected, in the next general elections for local officials in 1967 and shall have qualified.

SEC. 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
