[ REPUBLIC ACT NO. 9291, April 16, 2004 ]

AN ACT UPGRADING THE ZAMBALES SUBDISTRICT ENGINEERING OFFICE INTO A REGULAR ENGINEERING OFFICE TO BE KNOWN AS THE ZAMBALES SECOND DISTRICT ENGINEERING OFFICE AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR



Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

SECTION 1. The Zambales Subdistrict Engineering Office is hereby upgraded into a regular engineering district office. It shall be known as the Zambales Second Engineering District. Subsequently, the existing engineering district office located at Iba, Zambales shall be known as the Zambales First Engineering District.

SEC. 2. The Zambales Second Engineering District shall assume jurisdiction over infrastructure and public works in all barangays of the First Congressional District of Zambales.

SEC. 3. The Secretary of the Department of Public Works and Highways shall include in its program the funding requirements for the operationalization of the Zambales Second Engineering District in the year following its enactment into law and thereafter.

SEC. 4. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.

This Act which originated in the House of Representatives was finally passed by the House of Representatives and the Senate on May 08, 2002 and February 06, 2004, respectively.
