H. NO. 9350 / 61 OG No. 17, 2457 (April 26, 1965)

[ REPUBLIC ACT NO. 4144, June 20, 1964 ]

AN ACT TO STANDARDIZE THE SALARIES OF OFFICIALS OF THE GENERAL AUDITING OFFICE AND TO PROVIDE FUNDS THEREFOR.



Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

SECTION 1. Any existing law to the contrary notwithstanding, salaries of the following positions in the General Auditing Office are hereby fixed as follows:
  1. Deputy   Auditor   General,   twenty   thousand   pesos per annum;
  2. General Counsel, Department Managers and those of equal rank, fifteen thousand pesos per annum;
  3. Associate   General   Counsel,   Assistant   Managers,  Chief Supervising Auditors, Division Auditors, and those of equal rank, thirteen thousand two hundred pesos per annum;
  4. Supervising Auditors, Technical Assistant on Legal Matters,  Chief Legal Officers,  Executive Assistants,  Department Budget  Officer,  Executive Liaison  Officer,  and those of equal rank, ten thousand eight hundred pesos per annum.
SEC. 2. In order to carry out the provisions of this Act for the fiscal year ending June thirty, nineteen hundred and sixty-five, there is hereby appropriated out of any funds in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated, the sum of three hundred fifty thousand seven hundred seven pesos in addition to such sums as shall be provided in the General Appropriations Act for the General Auditing Office during the fiscal year from July first, nineteen hundred and sixty-four to June thirtieth, nineteen hundred and sixty-five. Appropriations for succeeding fiscal years shall be provided in the annual General Appropriations Act.

SEC. 3. The incumbent Deputy Auditor General and all incumbents to the positions above referred to, affected by the preceding paragraph at the time of the effectivity of this Act, shall receive the salary adjustments herein provided without the necessity of any new appointment.

SEC. 4. This Act shall take effect on July first, nineteen hundred and sixty-four.
