[ REPUBLIC ACT NO. 11063, August 17, 2018 ]

AN ACT CONVERTING THE CALOOCAN CITY EXTENSION OFFICE OF THE LAND TRANSPORTATION OFFICE (LTO) LOCATED IN MALABON CITY, METRO MANILA INTO A REGULAR LTO DISTRICT OFFICE AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR



Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:     

SECTION 1. The Caloocan City Extension Office of the Land Transportation Office (LTO) located in Malabon City, Metro Manila is hereby converted into a regular LTO district office and thereafter referrred to as the Malabon City LTO District Office.

SEC. 2. The Secretary of the Department of Transportation (DOTr) shall immediately include in the Department's program the operationalization of the Malabon City LTO District Office, the initial funding of which shall be charged against the current year's appropriations of the existing Caloocan City LTO Extension Office in Malabon City. Thereafter, such sums as may be necessary for the continued operation of the malabon City LTO District Office shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.

SEC. 3. The Secretary of the DOTr shall promulgate the necessary rules and regulations for the effective implementation of this Act.

SEC. 4. This Act shall take effect fifteen (15) days after its publication in the Official Gazette or in a newspaper of general circulation.
