[ Act No. 1893, May 14, 1909 ]

AN ACT DEFINING FRAUDULENT ENLISTMENT IN THE PHILIPPINES CONSTABULARY, AND PROVIDING THE PUNISHMENT THEREFOR.

By authority of the United Stales, be it enacted by the Philippine Legislature, that:

SECTION 1. It shall be unlawful for any person to enlist in the Philippines Constabulary under an assumed name, or upon enlistment therein to make any willfully and intentionally false representation as to his nationality, age, parents, or guardian.

SEC. 2. It shall be unlawful for any person who has been dishonorably discharged from the military or naval service of the  United States, or from the Philippines Constabulary, to enlist or  reenlist in said Philippines Constabulary.

SEC. 3. Any person who shall violate any provision of this Act  shall be guilty of fraudulent enlistment and, upon conviction thereof  by a court of competent jurisdiction, shall be punished by imprisonment for a term not exceeding six months, or by a fine not exceeding  five hundred pesos, or by both such imprisonment and fine, in the discretion of the court..

SEC. 4. This Act shall take effect on its passage.
