[ Act No. 1436, January 09, 1906 ]

AN ACT PROVIDING FOR THE FREE ENTRY OF THE FIGURE, STONE, AND OTHER MATERIALS NECESSARY FOR THE RIZAL MONUMENT TO BE ERECTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS' OF ACT NUMBERED TWO HUNDRED AND FORTY-THREE.

By authority of the United States, be it enacted by the Philippine Commission, that:

SECTION 1. The committee created by Act Numbered Two hundred and forty-three to have charge of the collection of funds for the Rizal Monument and of the erect ion of said monument shall, for tariff purposes-only, in the importation of the figure, stone, and other materials necessary for such monument, be considered a branch of the Insular Government, and such figure, stone, and other necessary materials so imported by said committee shall be granted free entry, anything in Act Numbered Eight hundred and seventy-five to the contrary notwithstanding.

SEC. 2. The public good requiring the speedy enactment of this bill, the passage of the same is hereby expedited in accordance with section two of "An Act prescribing the order of procedure by the Commission in the enactment of laws." passed September twenty-sixth, nineteen hundred.

SEC. 3. This Act shall take effect on its passage.
